Star Trek: The Exhibition at Balboa Park

Balboa Park’s San Diego Air and Space Museum is host to Star Trek: The Exhibition, an exclusive look into the world’s most comprehensive collection of authentic Star Trek paraphernalia.
Step inside the Star Trek world and become an active participant in this 12,500 square foot touring exhibition which includes authentic Star Trek ships, re-creations, sets, costumes and props from each of the five TV series and ten films.
Highlights of Star Trek: The Exhibition include:
- Stand on the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise from the original television series and take your seat as Captain, whilst surrounded by replicas of the original cast, including Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy and Mr. Scott.
- Explore re-creations of original sets from Star Trek: The Next Generation, including the Transporter Room and Captain Picard’s quarters and command chair.
- Ride through the Galaxy in two full-motion flight simulators.
- Star with the original cast in an episode of your choice and watch yourself interact with Star Trek icons including Mr. Spock and Mr. Scott.
General admission tickets to the exhibit is as follows:
- Adult (12 years and older) - $24.00
- Youth (ages 3-11) - $16.00
- Active Duty Military with ID - $15.00
- Senior/Student/Retired Military - $22.00
- Group Rate - Contact Museum for special group rates
General Admission includes admission to the San Diego Air and Space Museum.
Museum members enjoy special pricing to Star Trek: The Exhibit as follows:
- Member Adult (12 years and older) $15.00
- Member Youth (ages 3-11) -$9.00
- Member Guest Pass - $18.00
There is an additional charge for the Star Trek Space Mission Simulators.
Star Trek: The Exhibition will be at the San Diego Air and Space Museum in Balboa Park for a limited engagement, starting June 21, 2008. (According to the staff at the Museum, the Exhibition will run until at least November 30, 2008.) Exhibition hours are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily, with final admission at 5:30 pm. Tickets to Star Trek: The Exhibition are available both online and onsite at the San Diego Air and Space Museum.
Note about Free Tuesdays: Admission to the San Diego Air and Space Museum is free on the 4th Tuesday of every month to San Diego County residents, active duty military and their dependents and college students who have a valid San Diego County school ID. All out of county persons must pay the regular price for admission. Star Trek: The Exhibition is a “Special Exhibition” and is an additional charge on Free Tuesdays.
