Get Up Close and Personal With the Zoo’s Animal Stars and Front of the Line Privileges with the San Diego Zoo’s Backstage Pass Experience
With the San Diego Zoo’s Backstage Pass, guests can enjoy exclusive and interactive encounters with a variety of animals and their trainers during an intimate two-hour experience.
Meet the Zoo’s various furry, feathered, scaly and spiked animal celebrities in an intimate, private show area, then head over for an up close and personal encounter with some of the Zoo’s famous critters, includes a once in a lifetime opportunity to feed two of the Zoo’s biggest stars, Soman and Surat – the Zoo’s rhinos.
The VIP treatment doesn’t stop there! Flash your Backstage Pass, and you can take advantage of reserved seating at the shows at Wegeforth Bowl and Hunte Amphitheater and priority loading on bus tours. (Shows are included in Zoo admission; Best Value admission or Bus Tour ticket required for bus tours).

The Backstage Pass Experience is offered two times a day, every day of the year. Each session is two hours long and includes a gourmet boxed meal and souvenir photo. Tickets for the Backstage Pass are $100 per person, plus Zoo admission. Minimum age and other restrictions apply.
