Get the Scoop on Admission Deals and Discounts to the OC Fair, July 10 – August 9, 2009 in Costa Mesa
With premier entertainment and concerts (including headliners Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Heart, and Duran Duran), an action-filled Sports Arena, an abundance of food (deep-fried Twinkies, anyone?), contests, exhibits and carnival rides and over a million people in attendance last year, the OC Fair packs a whole lot of punch!
Making its debut at the 2009 OC Super Fair will be Al’s Brain – 3-D Journey Through The Human Brain with “Weird Al” Yankovic. A peek into the crazy world of Al’s Brain, the exhibit features educational displays and an original, 10-minute 3-D film. The attraction will be free with admission to the Fair. This is the first time an attraction of this size and magnitude has been produced by a Fair, for a Fair.
In keeping with the 2009 theme “Think. Big.” the OC Fair will be open an extra week, giving Fair-goers five weeks to enjoy the fun.
The 2009 OC Fair runs Friday, July 10, 2009 to Sunday, August 9, 2009. The Fair is open Wednesday to Sunday, and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The OC Fair is conveniently located a short drive north of San Diego, off the 405 and 55 Freeways at 88 Fair Drive in the heart of Costa Mesa.

OPENING HOUR
- Free admission and parking from 12:00 pm (noon) to 1:00 pm. Valid on Friday, July 10, 2009 only.
FRIENDS OF THE FAIR DAY – Wednesday, July 15, 2009
- Pre-registered guests who are physically or mentally challenged enjoy a morning of entertainment, contests and activities free of charge, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm (noon). Advance reservations are required for qualified groups.
SALUTE TO HEROES
- Free admission for active duty military, law enforcement and firefighters with ID, plus one guest from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
WE CARE WEDNESDAYS
Enjoy Free Admission on Wednesdays, when you bring an specific item (see below):
Wednesday, July 15, 2009:
Food Drive, 12:00 pm (noon) to 6:00 pm – One free admission ticket and one carnival ride in exchange for five (5) canned food items. One ticket/carnival ride per person. Benefits Second Harvest Food Bank and Share Our Selves.
Wednesday, July 22, 2009:
Book Drive, 12:00 pm (noon) to 6:00 pm – One free admission ticket and one carnival ride in exchange for one NEW children’s book for grades kindergarten through third (ages 5-9). One ticket/carnival ride per person. Benefits OC public elementary schools via The Los Angeles Times’ Reading by 9 program.
Wednesday, July 29, 2009:
Toy Drive, 12:00 pm (noon) to 6:00 pm – One free admission ticket and one carnival ride with donation of one new toy valued at $8.00 or more. One ticket/carnival ride per person. Benefits Share Our Selves.
Wednesday, August 5, 2009:
School Supply Drive, 12:00 (noon) to 6:00 pm – One free admission ticket and one carnival ride with donation of one school item valued at $5.00 or more. One ticket/carnival ride per person. Benefits OC public schools via Rotary Club International.
KIDS FREE THURSDAYS
- Kids 12 and under receive free admission every Thursday. Valid all day Thursday.
$1.00 RIDES THURSDAYS
- All rides and games are $1.00 each. Valid until 7:00 pm every Thursday
SENIOR DAYS FRIDAYS
- $4.00 admission for those 60 years or older, plus free Ferris Wheel and Merry-Go-Round rides. Valid all day Friday.
