August 17, 2009: San Diego Audition for The Next Food Network Star
Do you have the cooking know-how, a personality that pops, the teaching skills and a unique culinary point of view? If so, you may be the Next Food Network Star! If you think you’ve got what it takes, pack an apron and head over to the upcoming San Diego Open Casting Call for Season 6 of The Next Food Network Star!
On the Food Network’s reality series The Next Food Network Star, ten finalists compete for the biggest prize on TV – a show of their own on Food Network. Hosted by Food Network’s golden child Bobby Flay, you can catch new episodes of The Next Food Network Star Sunday nights at 9:00 pm (8:00 pm central).
The casting team from The Next Food Network Star is hitting the road in search of qualified candidates for Season 6 of the show, which is scheduled for 2010. And they will be making a stop in San Diego on Monday, August 17, 2009

When attending an Open Audition, you must bring along with you signed and filled out Application Form (downloadable from the website); two (2) recent photographs, each clearly labeled on the back with your name; and one (1) legible photocopy of EITHER (a) your passport; OR (b) driver’s license; OR (c) your social security card AND birth certificate.
Can’t make it to the San Diego Open Casting Call? Online and Mail-in applications and videos for The Next Food Network Star Season 6 are accepted on a rolling basis starting NOW and will be considered at the Producer’s discretion. You will find information on how to apply online or by mail on the Food Network’s website.
Keep in mind: Only one (1) application per person will be accepted, be it either online, by mail or in person at one of the Open Casting Calls. Applicants who submit more than one (1) application will be disqualified.
Note: To be eligible to apply for your spot on The Next Food Network Star, you must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of application. Applicants must also be US citizens or resident aliens living in the US with a legal right to live and work in the US. Other restrictions apply, be sure to check the Food Network website for all the details.
