Fee Free Weekends at Cabrillo National Monument and all US National Parks Select 2009 Summer Weekends
Enjoy free admission to National Parks this summer with three fee-free weekends at more than 100 National Parks that usually charge entrance fees.
Mark your calendars for the following fee-free weekends this summer:
- Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, 2009 (Father’s Day weekend)
- Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, 2009
- Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2009
And to make the fun even more affordable, many National Park concessioners are joining the National Park Service in welcoming visitors on this summer’s fee-free weekends with the their own special offers.
Here’s a list of National Parks in California that will be waiving entrance fees during the fee-free weekends:
- Cabrillo National Monument – San Diego, CA
- Death Valley National Park – Death Valley, CA
- John Muir National Historic Site – Martinez, CA
- Joshua Tree National Park – Twentynine Palms, CA
- Lassen Volcanic National Park – Mineral, CA
- Lava Beds National Monument – Tulelake, CA
- Muir Woods National Monument – Mill Valley, CA
- Pinnacles National Monument – Paicines, CA
- San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park – San Francisco, CA
- Sequoia National Park – Three Rivers, CA
- Whiskeytown Unit National Recreation Area – Whiskeytown, CA
- Yosemite National Park – Yosemite National Park, CA
Fee-Free Weekends includes the following fee waivers: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
