Mark Your Calendars for tons of fun at Legoland California and Sea Life Aquarium this year. Here’s a glimpse at some of the great events planned for 2009:
May 29, 2009 –
Sharks Revealed – New Interactive Exhibit Opens at Sea Life Aquarium
June 7, 2009 –
World Oceans Day Celebration at Sea Life Aquarium (*Free Child Admission Coupon June 7 & 8, 2009)
June 13 & 14 2009 -
Star Wars Days at Legoland – Take part in out-of-this-world activities like the Droid Hunt, video game battles, trivia competitions, building activities, scavenger hunts and daily costume contests. Keep your eyes peeled – Darth Vader and his 501st Legion of Stormtroopers will invade Legoland too!
June 25, 2009 -
Dune Raiders - New ride, Dune Raiders, scheduled to open in Legoland’s Land of Adventure area. The 30-foot-high attraction features six side-by-side 50-foot-long racing lanes and a pair of double-helix corkscrews. Dune Raiders is themed in an Egyptian bazaar motif complete with interactive Lego model scenes and fun new Lego models.
June 27 – August 29, 2009 -
10 Years of Fun! 10th Anniversary Celebration – Legoland California is celebrating 10 years of fun! To celebrate its 10th birthday, Legoland is having a fireworks celebration each Saturday at 8:30pm, from June 27 to August 29, 2009! Please note Legoland will be open until 9:00 pm each Saturday from June 27 to August 29, 2009.
July 4, 2009 (Fourth of July) -
Red, White and Boom! Fourth of July Celebration at Legoland – Fireworks, family picnic games and entertainment including special performances by The Jumpitz – one of the hottest emerging children’s entertainment groups in the nation.
October 3 & 4, 10 & 11, 17 & 18, 24 & 25 and 31, 2009 -
Brick-or-Treat Trail – Celebrate Halloween at Legoland California with safe trick-or-treating on the kid-sized Brick-or-Treat Trail.
October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, 2009 -
Brick-or-Treat Party Nights – Every Saturday in October beginning at 5:00 pm, several monstrously fun Legoland areas will remain open till 9:00 pm! In addition to rides, shows and attractions in the areas, your little ghosts and goblins will enjoy special activities including a Howler of the Hour contest, nighttime costume contest with prizes for the best costumes and ghoulish entertainment.
November 30 – December 24, 2009 -
Lego Christmas Tree Lighting – The world’s largest Lego Christmas tree lights up Legoland California! A selected guest will be on hand to pull the switch, lighting the 30-foot-tall tree built with more than 245,000 Duplo bricks. Please note the park is closed the first three Tuesdays and Wednesdays of December 2009.
December 31, 2009 -
Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party – Get in the holiday spirit and ring in the New Year at Legoland California! Kicking off at 3:00 pm is the Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party featuring live music and fun. At 6:00 pm (which is midnight KST – Kid Standard Time) countdown to the New Year with an all new 2009 Lego “Brick Drop” and a fireworks show with party favors and noisemakers.
Events and activities are free with Park Admission; check the website for up to date event information.
