San Diego Film Festival Returns September 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27, 2009
Mark your calendars, the San Diego Film Festival returns September 23, 24 25, 26 and 27, 2009 for five days filled with 85 film premieres, hundreds of filmmakers and celebrity guests, five nights of San Diego’s most glamorous parties and a handful panels and workshops about breaking into the film industry.
Celebrating its 8th anniversary in 2009, the San Diego Film Festival is one of the fastest growing Film Festivals in the country. Held blocks from the ocean in the Gaslamp Quarter – San Diego’s premier downtown entertainment district – this competitive four day fest is the destination for film; a launch pad for creative filmmakers to bring the best of independent cinema to San Diego’s progressive community. Where urban edge meets perfect weather escapism – thousands of filmmakers and film enthusiasts unite.
Co-founded by an award-winning filmmaker, SDFF offers a fresh take on film premieres from American and international features to thought-proving documentaries, short films and music videos. Festivalgoers can create their own experience with everything from industry access through educational panels, to intimate filmmaker and celebrity gatherings and nightly parties that earned SDFF the title Best Party Fest in The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide. San Diego Film Festival has earned more than 12 awards, including Best Beach Fest, Best Regional Film Fest, Best Festival, Top 25 Fests Worth Your Entry Fee by MovieMaker Magazine and a coveted spot as one of the country’s Top 10 Film Festival Vacations.
