Enjoy Free Admission to Select San Diego Museums the First Weekend of the Month

The Museums on Us Promotion from Bank of America was such a great hit, that they’ve expanded the program to cover more museums in more States, and extended the free museum admission offer until the end of 2009 and into 2010!
Bank of America members can enjoy free admission to over 100 museums across the USA on the first weekend of every month with your Bank of America Card.
Here’s how it works: Show your Bank of America check, ATM or credit card at participating museums on the first Saturday or Sunday of the month and enjoy free general admission to that Museum.
The following San Diego area museums are participating in the revamped Bank of America “Museums on Us” free admission event:
- Birch Aquarium at Scripps – San Diego, CA
- The New Children’s Museum – San Diego, CA
You can also take advantage of free admission to the following museums located a short drive from San Diego:
- MUZEO – Anaheim, CA
- Museum of Latin American Art – Long Beach, CA
- Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) – Los Angeles, CA
- Autry National Center of the American West – Los Angeles, CA
- Discovery Science Center (The Cube) – Orange County, CA *No Sundays
- The Living Desert – Palm Desert, CA
- Palm Springs Art Museum – Palm Springs, CA
- Riverside Art Museum – Riverside, CA *Closed Sundays
Free Museum Admission dates are as follows:
2010:
- January 2010 - Saturday, January 2 and Sunday, January 3, 2010
- February 2010 – Saturday, February 6 and Sunday, February 7, 2010
- March 2010 – Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7, 2010
- April 2010 – Saturday, April 3 and Sunday, April 4, 2010
- May 2010 – Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2, 2010
- June 2010 – Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6, 2010
- July 2010 – Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4, 2010
- August 2010 – Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8, 2010
- September 2010 – Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, September 5, 2010
- Additional Dates for 2010 to be announced
Free admission through the Bank of America “Museums on Us” event applies only to the individual whose name appears on the Bank of America card; children and additional family members who do not have Bank of America cards must pay the regular admission price. Hours and dates of operation vary from museum to museum; be sure to check with the individual museum for individual hours and dates of operation.
Editor’s Note: Young children are often admitted free or at a discounted price to most museums. Assuming you and your spouse each have a Bank of America card (it doesn’t matter whether it’s the same account, so long as you can show separate cards with individual names, you will get in for free) and you have younger children, your entire family can enjoy the Museum for free or a significantly discounted rate. Check with the individual museum for admission prices.
