Halloween 2008 : Scream Zone at the Del Mar Scaregrounds
October 8th, 2008
The Scream Zone is in full swing at the Del Mar Fairgrounds; read on for free admission, discounts, free parking and general information about the Scream Zone.
San Diego’s ultimate haunted halloween attraction, the Scream Zone offers three distinct adventures to scare, spook and thrill:
House of Horror - The House of Horror is the most ghoulish and spine-tingling attraction of all and features themed rooms filled with terrifying sights, horrendous sounds and blood-curdling scares lurking at every turn and corridor. Be prepared for new, spine-tingling scenes in the House of Horror: test your bravery in the Doll House and Factory; the Funeral Home Room; the Electrocution Room; Chaos Hallway and Freaky Farm and Barn. Plus, new surprises await you in the Moving Floor Room, the Killer Clowns Room, and the Butcher Shop. Not recommended for children younger than 10 years of age, the House of Horror features a surprise ending that will send you screaming! Be warned: the House of Horror is not for the weak of heart, pregnant women, or wimps!
Haunted Hayride - Board an open-sided haywagon in this one-of-a-kind attraction for a creepy trip through the haunted barns on the back side of the Del Mar Racetrack. Stick close together during the journey and beware of ghosts, zombies and other-worldly creatures! Terrifying fun for the family or anyone brave enough to come along for the ride!
The Chamber - The Chamber is a twisting maze with frights around every corner. Make your way through this labyrinth of scares full of suspense, surprises, and several frightening dead ends; navigate San Diego’s longest Spinning Tunnel of Terror and uncover the horror the lurks in the abode of La Llorona, a visiting ghost from Mexico who has lost her children.
