Halloween : Legoland California Brick-or-Treat Trail and Brick-or-Treat Party Nights

Celebrate Halloween at Legoland California on the Brick-or-Treat Trail and the new nighttime celebration Brick-or-Treat Party Nights.

Every weekend in October, Legoland California invites young ghosts and goblins (and witches and rabbits and superheroes too!) to Brick-or-Treat, the theme park’s annual family-friendly Halloween celebration, presented by Union Bank of California. This year the Park celebrates the 10th anniversary of Brick-or-Treat with a special Brick-or-Treat Party Nights event every Saturday in October.

During the day on weekends in October, revelers 12 years of age and under are invited to trick-or-treat with a Legoland souvenir bag on the Park’s safe and entertaining Brick-or-Treat Trail featuring Lego-themed treat stations and goodies such as Wonka Giant Chewy Nerds, trading cards, coloring books and other surprises.

When the sun goes down on Saturdays in October, Legoland is transformed into a not-too-spooky Halloween haven for Brick-or-Treat Party Nights featuring costume contests, nighttime trick-or-treating on the Brick-or-Treat Trail, live music and entertainment with the Boo Crew featuring a Hip-Hoppin’ DJ, Hubble Bubble, Zany Zelda, Count Brickula and Jester Funny Bones plus dance performances by San Diego’s own Studio FX Kids. Several monstrously fun areas of Legoland are open during Party Nights, including Land of Adventure, Castle Hill, Lego Technic Coaster and Bionicle Blaster. In addition to rides, shows and attractions, little ghosts and goblins can enjoy ghoulish activities like the Haunted Hideaways and a Lego brick pumpkin build, plus glow-in-the-dark treats for nighttime fun. The popular Howler of the Hour contest returns at the Courtyard Theater Stage for those young guests who really want to scream this Halloween.

Enter the Party Nights costume contest to win amazing prize packages including Legoland tickets, souvenirs, toys and gifts (a total of six prizes will be awarded during each contest). Children 12 years of age and under can enter in one of five categories to show off their Boo-tiful costumes on the Courtyard Theater: Spookiest; Funniest; Most Imaginative; Most Adventure-Themed; and, Most Lego-themed. A special prize for “Best of the Best” will also be awarded during each contest.

But that’s not all! Keep your eyes peeled as you stroll through Legoland (especially in Miniland) for subtle and not-so-subtle Halloween-themed Lego creations, including a brand-new giant Lego jack-o-lantern, which is more than 7 feet wide, is made of 22,000 Duplo bricks and weighs 850 pounds!

Brick-or-Treat takes place at Legoland California every weekend in October. The dates are:

• Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 2008
• Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, 2008
• Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2008
• Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, 2008

Brick-or-Treat Party Nights takes place at Legoland California every Saturday in October. The dates are:

• Saturday, October 4, 2008
• Saturday, October 11, 2008
• Saturday, October 18, 2008
• Saturday, October 25, 2008

All Brick-or-Treat Trail and Brick-or-Treat Party Nights festivities are included in the price of admission to Legoland California. During Brick-or-Treat, Legoland will be open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturdays and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays. Guests planning to attend Brick-or-Treat Party Nights only can purchase separate nighttime event tickets after 5:00 pm for $35.00.
