San Diego : Street Scene 2008
August 13th, 2008

Street Scene, San Diego’s ultimate Block Party, returns to the Gaslamp this year with an electrifying line up of bands.
Arguably the country’s largest annual rock festival, Street Scene is a multiple day, multiple stage musical celebration like no other. 40 Bands will perform on one of four stages over two nights in the heart of downtown San Diego. Bands that have played at past Street Scenes include R.E.M., Snoop Dogg, Patti Smith, Cypress Hill and the B-52s; not to be outdone, this year’s Street Scene features Beck and The Black Crows.
With its return to downtown San Diego, Street Scene 2008 is gearing up to be better than ever. This year’s all-ages music celebration will be set in the streets of San Diego’s East Village, adjacent to Petco Park. This location not only returns the Block Party to its downtown roots, but also offers multiple nearby parking options as well as easy access by trolley.
Street Scene 2008 takes place on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20, 2008. Doors open at 4:00 pm; shows end at midnight. This is an all-ages event.
Two Day General Admission Passes to Street Scene are on sale now at a special reduced price. Get your passes now before the price increases.
