Sneak Peek - Star Wars: The Clone Wars - US Premiere

Star Wars: The Clone Wars takes George Lucas’ Star Wars empire to yet another level. This ground breaking CG-animated feature film continues the Star Wars storyline and takes place between Episodes II and III.

While the official release date of this dazzling new movie is August 15, 2008, a limited number of fans will enjoy a sneak peek at the US Premiere on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Egyptian Theatre, where Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back debuted 28 years ago.

The family-friendly premiere screening of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will begin at 4:00 pm with special events taking place in the Courtyard of the Egyptian Theatre beginning at 2:00 pm. Star Wars: The Clone Wars Director Dave Filoni, Producer Catherine Winder and others involved with the creation of this groundbreaking animated adventure are scheduled to attend the benefit premiere.

The historic Egyptian Theatre is also the home of the American Cinematheque, and all proceeds raised from the premiere of Lucasfilm Animation’s first theatrical release will benefit the non-profit organization and its efforts to celebrate the moving picture in all of its forms. The Egyptian was also the home of the very first Hollywood movie premiere, in 1922.

Tickets to the US premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars are on sale to the general public for $45.00 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Egyptian Theatre. The Egyptian Theatre is located in Hollywood at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA, 90028.
