San Diego County Fair 2008 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds

Nothing says summer quite like the San Diego County Fair.

Drawing more than 1.2 million visitors last year, the San Diego County Fair is the largest annual event in San Diego County, the second-largest Fair in California and the fifth largest Fair in the United States. This year’s theme, “Summer of Sports” will celebrate a wide variety of sports at all levels.

The 2008 San Diego County Fair, which takes place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds (2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, CA 92014), opens on Saturday, June 14, 2008 and runs through to Sunday July 6, 2008. The Fair will be closed on the first two Mondays (June 16, 2008 and June 23, 2008). Gates open daily at 10:00 am. Exhibits will close at 10:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and at 11:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The Fun Zone will close at approximately midnight. General admission to the 2008 San Diego County Fair is $12.00 for adults, $6.00 for children (ages 6 to 12) and seniors (ages 62 and older), and free for children ages 5 and younger. There is an additional charge for parking at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
