Rock ‘n Roll Marathon – Entertainment Line-Up

Rock 'n Roll Marathon 

With 26.2 miles of non-stop rock ‘n roll fun and entertainment, the Rock ’n Roll Marathon is one of San Diego’s most anticipated events. The marathon itself takes place on Sunday, June 1, 2008 and begins in Balboa Park.

There are close to 45 bands scheduled to entertain the runners and onlookers along the marathon route. Hang out near your favorite band and enjoy the music as you cheer the marathoners on! Here’s the entertainment line-up:

  • Aerodrive – 6th & Robinson (Mile 0.8) – 6:25 am to 7:15 am
  • The KneeHighs – University & Normal (Mile 1.6) – 6:30 am to 7:30 am
  • Navy Band SW “Destroyers” – Park Blvd.& Indiana (Mile 1.9) – 6:35 am to 7:45 am
  • Tomcat Courtney & His Blues Brothers – Park Blvd. & Morley (Mile 2.4) – 6:40 am to 8:00 am
  • Global Party – Space Museum Pedestrian Bridge (Mile 2.8) – 6:40 am to 8:00 am
  • The Pitch Michael Band - Park Blvd. & Presidents Way (Mile 3.4) – 6:45 am to 8:15 am
  • West of Memphis – Petco Park (Mile 4.4) – 6:45 am to 8:30 am
  • Ryan Hiller - Gaslamp Quarter
  • Castillo – N. Harbor Drive & Habor Drive (Mile 6.1) – 6:50 am to 9:00 am
  • Bayou Brothers – Broadway & State (Mile 6.8) – 6:50 am to 9:15 am
  • The Bigfellas – 10th Ave. & Ash St. (Mile 7.8) – 7:00 am to 9:30 am
  • DJ Peril & DJ Jester – Hwy 163 & Park Blvd. (Mile 8.5) – 7:05 am to 9:45 am
  • Monarch High School – Hwy 163 & I-8 (Mile 10.6) – 7:10 am to 10:30 am
  • Left4Dead – Fashion Valley Mall, Friars Rd. (Mile 11.6) – 7:20 am to 11:00 am
  • Come Back Buddy; The ’63eatles – YMCA on Friars Rd. (Mile 13.4) – 7:25 am to 11:15 am
  • Love Campaign; The Gas – West Morena Blvd. (Mile 14.4) – 7:30 am to 11:30 am
  • Double Wide; Manganista – Milton & Chicago (Mile 15.4) – 7:35 to 12:00 (noon)
  • Bedford Grove; The Funky Kicks – Mission Bay Park Visitors Center (Mile 16.3) – 7:40 am to 12:15 pm
  • NEVERWONDER; Jackson Road – Mission Bay High School (Mile 17.5) – 7:45 am to 12:15 pm
  • Safety Orange; Stone Senses – Vacation & Ingraham (Mile 19.7) – 7:50 am to 12:30 pm
  • Carolina Fever; Magnuson – Perez Cove at Mission Bay (Mile 20.4) – 7:55 am to 1:15 pm
  • Zoo2; Stepping Feet – Friars Frontage Road Exit (Mile 22) 7:55 am to 1:30 pm
  • The Jones Revival; Loss of Control – Friars Road (Mile 22.4) – 7:55 am to 1:30 pm
  • The Tricia Freeman Band; Salt Creek – Pacific Highway (Mile 23.5) – 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • AXXYS; Rhythm and Method – Perry’s Cafe (Mile 24) – 8:00 am to 2:15 pm

  • 34 Below; Magnolia Black – Marine Corp Recruit Depot (Mile 25.6) – 8:10 am to 2:45 pm
  • 80z All-Stars; Idle Train – Marine Corp Recruit Depot (Finish Line) – 10:30 am to 2:30 pm
