Legoland : Land of Adventure debuts at Legoland California

Legoland California introduces its newest theme-based area: Land of Adventure.
Step into Land of Adventure and be transported into 1920s Egypt, where you will be able to enjoy four new attractions: Lost Kingdom Adventure, Cargo Ace, Beetle Bounce and Pharaoh’s Revenge.
Perhaps the most anticipated of these new rides is Lost Kingdom Adventure, Legoland’s first-ever dark ride. Based in ancient temple ruins, visitors who dare enter the Lost Kingdom must first pass by a LEGO pharaoh who stands more than 16 feet tall and guards the entrance to the ride.
Once inside, guests are seated in jeeps and taken on a journey to recover stolen treasure by blasting targets with laser guns along the way. Riders will encounter nine different scenes along the journey, including a spider’s lair, professor’s lab, mummy relics and a skeleton band that requires riders to hit the correct targets to make the bones “pull themselves together” and become musicians.
Once you’ve conquered the Lost Kingdom Adventure, head over to Cargo Ace and soar the skies in one of eight airplanes which will take you up to six feet into the air. Next, try to touch gigantic LEGO beetles as you are launched nearly 15 feet up one of two towers in Beetle Bounce. And end your tour of the Land of Adventure at Pharaoh’s Revenge, where children and parents can fire thousands of foam balls at targets and each other in an oasis of fun.
And the best thing of all is that the fun doesn’t end at the Land of Adventure: nearly 50 other rides and attractions await you in other parts of Legoland California!
Land of Adventure is scheduled to open to the public on March 10, 2008.
