Legoland Pirate Shores : New Ride Opens Memorial Day Weekend
May 21st, 2007
Just in time for the Memorial Day long weekend, Legoland California is unveiling its newest ride: Captain Cranky’s Challenge.
This new pirate-themed adventure will test your sea worthiness as riders sway back and forth on a pirate ship that sits on a “U-shaped” track and rotates in two directions. (Note: There is a minimum height requirement of 34 inches for this ride).
Legoland has planned a few other improvements to the Pirate Shores area, which opened to the public in June of 2006, including the addition of lockers, shaded structures and seating near the water play areas. The mini-flume log ride, Treasure Falls, is also scheduled to re-open some time this summer.
Legoland California is located in San Diego’s North County, Carlsbad, California.
