Open Casting Call for Contestants : Deal or No Deal

What would you do with a million dollars? Do you have a lucky number between 1 and 26? Are you partial to good-looking women in short dresses? Do you want to be a contestant on Deal or No Deal?

You’re in luck! NBC’s high energy game show Deal or No Deal is holding an open casting call for contestants in San Diego County in April.

The Producers are looking for fun, outgoing risk-takers to appear on their game show, which is hosted by the ever-so-adorable Howie Mandel.

The open casting call for contestants will be held at the Viejas Casino and Outlet Center on Saturday, April 7th, 2007 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. A word to the wise: while the actual Contestant auditions will take place from 10 to 2, Viejas recommends that you arrive at 6:00 am (camping out is not allowed!).

NBC San Diego is the one holding the VIP contest right now. The winners of the contest will win a VIP pass to get to the front of the line at the Deal or No Deal casting call. One Grand Prize winner will also win some Deal or No Deal merchandise. There will be 11 winners in total (including the Grand Prize winner).

Remember: winning the contest doesn’t mean you’ll get to be a contestant on Deal or No Deal; it just means that you will get to the front of the line and will be one of the first people to audition to become a contestant. The Deal or No Deal crew decides who gets to be a contestant.

To enter the contest, go to the NBC San Diego website (see link above), fill out the required information and register for their “What’s Hot in San Diego” emails. By registering for their emails, you will automatically be entered into the contest. Contest ends April 3, 2007 at 11:59 pm.

To be a contestant on Deal or No Deal, you need to audition. If you pass the audition, you will be on the show.

You can audition in one of two ways:

(1) In person on April 7, 2007 at Viejas Casino (details above), or

(2) By mail – send a 5 minute video tape, some recent photos and an application form to the Deal or No Deal Casting Department. For all the details about auditioning by mail (mailing address, downloadable application form, etc.), go to Deal or No Deal Casting.

Deal or no Deal is my favorite TV show and I always watch it. I am originally from East Africa Ethiopia and most of my friends from Africa have little believe that this TV show is real, and I want to prove to them. im a school bus driver from mt juliet tn. who wears a american flag shirt 11 months out of the year but dress like santa the last month if you can imagine a short fat guy driving a bus with a long beard and red suit it the most fun a person can have so if you need someone for your christmas show im your man thanks for your time

Hi All,

We attended the casting call in San Diego on April 7 th, They put us in groups of 10 and gave us 30 second each to sell ourselves, when everyone was done they excused all but two of us and talked to each one of us for a few more minutes each.

I think my interview went great and I was wondering if any one else was there or if anyone has received a call back or what other experiences others had.

I dont know, the casting directors probably decide within 20 seconds if your a maybe or a no, so even without the additional time you still could have been placed in the maybe file.

hello, i am a 21 year old from a small town called riverbank calif. i was going to the jr. collage in the next town over, pitching for there baseball team i was doing very well had major teams looking at me.then i got injured. tour the tendensin my pitching shoulder. had surgry and am now doing major rehab to get back to collage. i live with my family. they are great and have given up a lot for me and i would so love to be able to give back to my mother and father even half of what they have given to me. they have alway been there and have given up personal time and money for me to follow my dreams. if i were to get on the show i want to win enough to buy them there own home and a car….

hi, I just auditioned in Nashville on april 28. 10 of us went to a table and had 20 seconds each. 3 of us were kept for further questioning. the other 2 were only asked 1 question each and he asked me 4. I felt really good about it but haven’t gotten a call. its only the next day, but I was reading forums from the 2006 casting call and most of them said they were called the next day. I was on cloud nine so when he told me the time frame of calling back I missed it. I really, really want this. If anyone has been called back from any city please let us all know!!

My namei is Robert Jacobs. I enjoy change and risk. . I left college before graduation to become a crop duster and farmer which I did for fifteen years before re-entering college to complete my degree in chemistry and apply for medical school. Luckily I was accepted to medical school at the young age of 40. I’m 53 now and have been an ER physician fo seven years. While crop dusting i survived two crashes. Now I practice cowboy action fast draw with my single action Colt 45. My friends and co-workers think I am crazy since not only have I shot myself in the leg once. I did it twice. Needless to say this was embarassing, especially since the nearest emergency room was the one i work in. I now use wax bullets. They don’t hurt as bad. My motto is “you never slow down, you never grow old.” I would use any winnings to reduce my medical school loans.

Hi Howie

My name is Renee Price and boy I could use some fun and excitement and a little cash in my life. I am a single mother, full time job, breast cancer survivor and just recently had a heart attack. I am 47 and am full of life regardless of the great experiences I went through in order to raise my son Levi. I would like to finally beable to enjoy life and support my son and maybe beable to take a trip with him. We never have been on vacation and Levi never asked me for material items because he knows I can’t afford much.
We do go fishing alot and enjoy outdoors as much as possible. I would like to Support Breast Cancer an American Heart assoication with the Million dollar that I would win if I get choosen to be a contestant. I have told many of my friends That I am submitting a application to Deal or No Deal. No one is shocked because I like to do crazy things and they all agree that I would make a great contestant. I guess you would say I am the life of the party…….
Hope to meet you one day and I am going to submit a application and tape. I would love to go to a open cast but I can’t afford to take time off work….
