San Diego Zoo Giraffes – Get Up Close and Personal
November 6th, 2006
The sign says it all – you can now feed the giraffes at the San Diego Zoo!
Thanks to a clever moat-like design, the San Diego Zoo’s giraffe exhibit gives the illusion that the giraffes could saunter over to the low barrier for a tete-a-tete at any moment - they’re just that close!
And now, visitors have the opportunity to turn the illusion into a reality and get even more up close and personal with the giraffes. Giraffe feedings at the San Diego Zoo take place on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 1:00 pm. The cost is $5.00 for three biscuits. The giraffes are located in the Horn and Hoof Mesa section of the Zoo.
Editor’s Note: Looking for other things to do at the San Diego Zoo? Be sure to visit Papagayo at the Children’s Zoo and check out the live Zoo webcams.
