September 19th, 2006
Get ready to get up close and personal with actress Grace Park.
Battlestar Galactica‘s Grace Park is coming to San Diego. Grace plays Lt. Sharon “Boomer” Valerii on the series, which premieres in its third season on October 6th at 9/8C on the SciFi Network.
In a previous post, we had announced that Grace would be appearing in San Diego as part of the San Diego Asian Film Festival‘s 2006 line-up. And now, we have the details.
She will be at the Brickstone Salon at the Doubletree Hotel in Mission Valley on Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm for a Q&A and a special screening of Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far – a one-hour special recap of the first two seasons of Battlestar Galactica. The film is narrated by Mary McDonnell, who plays President Laura Roslin on the television series. The event is open to the public and is free.
In an interview with Lee Ann Kim, the San Diego Asian Film Festival’s Executive Director, Grace dropped a hint about the direction her character will be taking in Season Three: “…more trauma. Darker. With a small ray of hope.” Fans can expect Grace to answer questions during the Q&A similar to the ones she is currently fielding in her four-part online video Q&A.
The 2006 San Diego Asian Film Festival will be held from October 12 – 19 at the Ultrastar Mission Valley at Hazard Center. The complete festival schedule and ticket purchase information was announced today and is available on the Festival website.
